Answer: I am so sorry for the death of your dad. You may need to speak with a victim advocate and/or attorney regarding any restitution. If the case is still going on, contact your local county agency and see what policies there are for family members receiving restitution(out of pocket expenses regarding the death of your dad). The victim advocate will be able to assist you in filing for restitution. If the case has already gone to trial and the person was sentenced (but no restitution was ordered), you may need to see an attorney about a civil case.
