Question: I have rented my home for 18 years and now my landlord has decided to sell the house..he gave us 60 days to find a place to live plus another two weeks but with rent so high its been hard to find another place to live especially for 7 people what can I do? Can I get more time ?

Answer: This situation is governed by the Arizona Residential Landlord/Tenant Act in Title 33 of the Arizona Statutes.  The landlord is required to deliver written notice of the termination of the lease under the Act.  Written notice can be delivered personally or mailed by certified or registered mail.  Your question does not specify whether this is a month to month lease or a lease that is renewed on an annual basis.  The landlord is entitled to sell his property and terminate the lease as long as he has given the requisite notice.
