Answer: Under the Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, landlords must hold their tenant’s personal property for a period of 21 days beginning one day after a writ of restitution issued by the court has been executed by the sheriff or constable (A.R.S. 33-1368). It is very important that the evicted tenant communicate with the landlord regarding the tenant’s personal property and when and how it the tenant may collect it.
