Question: My lease states to vacate a 60day vacate notice must be submitted to the office prior to end of lease date which is 02/29/2020. I submitted the vacate notice 30days before my lease ends,01/31/2020, can They still a month to month rate for the month of March, or is the 30day notice fine in the state of az ?

Answer: Under Arizona law, the terms of the rental agreement – which is a contract between the landlord and the tenant – determine what the non-renewal notice period is. The 30-day rule (A.R.S. 33-1375(B)) only applies where the rental agreement is silent or the agreement is month-to-month.
