Landlord and Tenant - Mobile Home Parks

questions & answers

Question: We has a fas line running to our home for our stove and water heater. The line from the meter to our home is corroded and the manager says we have to fix it wven though all our pipes in and under our home are good

Answer: All landlords are generally required to comply with applicable building codes and to “make all repairs and do whatever is necessary to put and keep the premises in a fit and habitable condition.” When the rented property is a single family dwelling, the landlord must also “maintain in good and safe working order and condition all electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and other facilities and appliances...” (A.R.S. 33-1324). When the rented property is a mobile home park lot space, the landlord must also “furnish outlets for electric, water and sewer services” (A.R.S. 33-1434).
