Question: I received a notice from the IRS saying that they will levy my Social Security check for non-payment of taxes. I am 70 years old. My only source of income is Social Security of $1798 per month. I have no assets. I live in an Assisted Living facility which I pay room and board of $1649 from SocSec and ALTCS benefits pay the balance. I am left with $109 per month for personal needs.
