QUESTIONS

  • My ex- fiancée and I have joint custody(decision making). Last year March17, 2014, she was arrested for domestic violence( class 6 undesignated felony), ( discharging a firearm at her boyfriend),and received supervised probation, 3 yrs. In June of 2015, she was once again arrested for violation of probation and placed on IPS and extensive probation till 2017. Because Mother is violent and has potential to cause emotional and physical distress to my 5 yr. old daughter, do I have legal right as her father to file for sole custody and decision maker? Currently we have equal parenting time.
  • Me and my girlfriend have been together for 2 years and she has 2 kids by a guy who stays in trouble and rarely pays child support he makes false statements to dhr and we have been investigated and released we recently had an argument and they carry me to jail for domestic violence are we still going to be able to live with each other
  • I can't afford an attorney even through the modest means program & no one is willing to help me pro bono. I filed for divorce from my abusive husband & we reached a settlement agreement on 4/28/16. But he continues to use the judicial system to make false accusations against me & keep me in court. How can I stop this harassment, and why won't any attorneys help me pro bono? So many claim to be DV advocates but no one is advocating for me & my daugher.
  • im sorry i have no idea what category this would fall under since it can be under a few. idont know what else to do but my mom is is a horrible situation with my adult drug addict brother and she is always living each moment not knowing what he will be like each second. he has a violent history with my parents and he has a recond you can look up. michael hahn dob 7/25/88.. our dad just passed away and he is taking full advantage of our mom by staying there unwanted, using drugs, stealing things to get his drugs and being verbally, physically and emotionally abusive .what can be done?shes afraid
  • hola como veran mi pregunta es en español y quisiera primero saber si me pueden contestar en español la pregunta que les valla a hacer
  • Injunction against harassment with "no contact" but both parties are in the same school and same classes together. How is the defendant to avoid contact? Is he required to change schools?
  • I have a protection order agains my boyfriend. We were never married but he told the police we were. He was allowed to drive my truck but he had to pay truck payment and car insurance. He stopped doing that and without my permission he took the truck to the east coast. He also violated the protection order. No way to contact him and now he getting violation for tolls in New York that I am receiving in the mail. Police will not report it stolen. What can I do?
  • Our 16 year old son became aggressive after a shopping outing and began beating up my wife taking her to the ground. We are wondering what legal options we have since the answer we are getting from all agencies is that we just have to deal with it and work it out ourselves. We are looking for help of any kind including juvenile detention or detainment in a health facility. I am afraid to leave the house if our son is there and afraid of what he might do in the middle of the night since he has uttered death threats.
  • My girlfriend came to my house uninvited to pick up the kids with rage she got four domestic violence and was sent to jail that night..The cops left the children in my son's care at my home. ..she plead not guilty and she is taking this to trial with a lawyer. ..what are her chances..The four of us were the victims. What are her chances of getting off?
  • Is it possible to remove a domestic violence charge from my record to stop having a delay when I purchase firearms?
