Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Profile

The EEOC investigates charges of discrimination, offers mediation services and settles cases. When a charge is filed the EEOC conducts further investigations to establish if there is evidence for the charge. If evidence is found the two parties may be offered mediation services to avoid lengthy legal processes.

  • I have been unable to find and secure any legal representation throughout out entire divorce and I have paid dearly for it. I live on a fixed disability income and cannot afford to pay for services. I have gone through local channels such as AZ211, AZLAW.COM & COMMUNITY LEGAL SERVICES twice and I am still not represented. Any help would be more than appreciated! Thank you, Diana Berne
  • My son is presently in the military and his girlfriend told him she is pregnant but does not want the child but that he may raise the child. He wants to know what he must do to keep sole custody of the child and have her relinquish her rights?
  • I had a security deposit of $400 at my apartment and I still haven't received the security deposit. It's been about a month and a half. Everytime I call they avoid helping me and have stopped responding to my emails. I dont know if its because they find it annoying or they just dont have the deposit. What are legal ways I can pursue my security deposit. I have also sent them a demand letter. What is the reasonable time to sue and what is the maximum I can sue for?

One day, he decided to leave and two weeks later, I found out he was filing divorce for domestic violence, I confronted him and he said it was the only way to get his legal status. I hired an attorney and got divorced but not for domestic violence, it was for irreconsiliable marriage. Can he still get a chance to get his green card?
  • My roommate and I got into a fight, now she wants me to leave and is threatening to file an OoP to get me to move out. Is there anyway to protect myself from such an injunction and maintain ability to stay in my own home? She claims I'm going do her physical harm, and I think her claims are unwarranted. Help I have no where to go and I've been here longer than she has.
