QUESTIONS

  • Since July we have had a scorpion problem. We have continuously notified the office by letter each time we find a scorpion, we have even brought some into the office. The manager agreed to let us break our lease without payment on our behalf with a 30 day notice. 5 days after the agreement was made that manager had been let go and a new manager took over who had no idea about the agreement. Now they are saying the old manager did not take the proper steps to let us break our lease and refuses now to let us leave. We have 3 children under 8,I am pregnant and my husband was stung. What now?
  • I recently purchased a car and put it in my girlfriends name because she has the drivers license and I currently do not also she agreed to sign a public notary stating that I am the sole owner of the vehicle and we only put the car in her name because she had a license at the time and I did not and for insurance purposes. Now my question of course would be does that legally protect me from her having legal ownership of the vehicle say if hypathetically we break up and she decides to try and take my car.

  • I have received a notice through a realtor that my mortgage co. is offering me a Relocation Assistance Agreement. I am in foreclosure and they are offering me 2,000 if I sign the agreement and move out within a month. They say that all needed repairs to the home will be deducted from the $2,000. This is an old home built in 1954 and is in need of some repairs. They will proceed with eviction if I do not sign the agreement. How long do Eviction Proceedings take? How long before I will be forced out of my home?

They have decided to make "repairs"/"upgrades" to my property without my authorization. They have a pet which is against the terms of the lease. They are also consistently late with their rent. Am I within my rights to given them a notice to vacate the property due to breach of the leasing agreement? If so, how many days notice do I have to provide?
