  • my daughter is 22, cannot find a job, does she qualify for any type of assistance
  • I am currently paying my arreaarages for child support, but was awarded to claim my daughter in odd years. In 2005, she would not let me take the deduction and again this year; telling me because I am not current that I cannot claim her. Is this true? If yes, what is the statute? If no, what steps do I need to take that she is not following a court order?
  • I just appealed Social Security's decision to deny my survivor's benefits, which were denied, again! I'm a disabled widow, and have had my disability since I was a teenager, since my records show I have a personality disorder,Agoraphobia, etc. But,they keep denying my husband's benefits on the grounds that I didn't become disabled within 7 years after he died! The Social Security laws have recently been changed to let divorced, disabled widows have the same laws, which were worded differently before my case was heard! Is there free help to help me fight them?
  • If a father's rights are severed can you still get child support from then
  • I was a stay-at-home mom for the majority of my marriage. During that time I accrued some student loans. In our separation agreement we each agreed to pay half of that, and any other, debt. A lawyer I spoke with stated that I am eligible for alimony (we were married 9 years and I stayed home for 6 of them), but my spouse takes great exception to this. He believes that since I did not contribute, monetarily, I should not be entitled to alimony. What should my expectations be?
  • I recently had to move since my landlord sold the home we were renting. I have asked for my deposit to be returned. He simply ignores my letters. How can I force him to return the deposit?
  • I bought a timeshare in Nevada, but due to my husbands remission of cancer and my multiple sclerosis, we can no longer make the payments. If they foreclose on the timeshare can they garnish my wages in Arizona
  • I'm 66 and have applied for a Loan Modification (it was approved) however, the service r is asking for "Good Faith" money up front before they will finalize the Modification Agreement. This up-front money was NEVER mentioned in any of their correspondence and when I received my Modification packet this past Saturday ...in their cover letter they mention this "good faith" money....but it is NOT part of the Modification Agreement. Is this legal for them to ask for 4 months of payemnts and then start the actual modification payment 12/1/2015? They want this money AND the agreement before Tuesday the 17th ..so this is VERY URGENT for me to receive some advise ...and should I sign the agreement. I'm also searching for a Pro Bono attorney to review these documents. ###
