  • I own my house and rent a lot in a "over 55" community. The driveway is a poor shape and I have asked management for several years for repair. Half of the driveways in the community have been repaired, and I have been told that the rest will be done shortly. That was three months ago! There are chips and holes in the driveway making a safety issue. How can I get them to uphold their responsibility? I do not want to move and just want them to provide the maintenance they are obligated to.
  • I want to give my stepdaughter my last name, her biological father lives in Mexico and he hasn't been in her life at all. She's 10 yrs old and I have been taking care of her since she was 2. How can I do this If me and my wife don't know his whereabouts?
  • I have lived in my apt for 19 years now,my landlord will not fix a thing, i have asked several times, i have the same carpet it's been shampooed over & over, it's horrible when asked he said he'd have to raise my rent, isn't that his responsibility to replace it after so many years. My outside steps have giant holes, moldy when it rains and the rails all shake he refuses to fix them, do i or someone else have to get hurt first, they are very dangerous but yet pass inspection, which i know he's paying them off, what can i do?

  • We are seeking to get guardianship of our grandson who is 1. Our daughter lives with us & he stays with me 95% of the time, however she does not provide financial care for him. We believe she has some mental issues that need to be addressed, although she refuses to seek care. When she chooses to care for him, she makes choices that are neglectful & at times putting him in danger. How do we accomplish this task with her living in our home, proving the issues we see daily, keeping him safe with us & hoping she gets the help she needs.
  • How do you prove neglect? my husband and myself are trying to get custody of his 9 year old son. He is the second oldest of 5 children. My husband was never married to this woman. We feel that she has not created a safe environment for him, let alone the rest of her children. How do I start the process?
  • I accepted a plea agreement for a diversion program in which i needed to complete a specified ammount of classes and then my charge would be dropped... About half way through, i was arrested on a different matter and spent a week in jail before the charges were dropped... I was released on the new charges but now i have a warrant for not completing the terms of the program... Im really worried about wether or not they will let me go back to doing the classes or if ill have to go to prison... Anysuggestions?? Also I am a veteran.. Is there anywhere i can get free legal advice or a lawyer..
  • I am a convicted felon, can I legally change my name?
