QUESTIONS

  • My spouse was stationed as active duty in AZ, where we bought a house together and he still has an AZ driver's license, pays AZ taxes, and that house is his official address of record. Mine has changed. Can I file for divorce in AZ since he is an AZ resident (does the court consider him an AZ resident)? Thank you.
  • How do I know if my employer is violating laws against blocking me from serving jury duty? They have paid jury duty time but will not let me take it without extending my contract, a highly undesirable result and something I perceive to be retaliation. Should I obtain counsel for this or am I being overdramatic? Thank you!
  • Is it the landlord responsibility to exterminate?
  • My ex husband has not seen our son's life, or hasn't seen him for 7 years, and my son only hears from his father when I make him call.. He is never on time with child support, and demands I talk to him on the phone rather then text, which I won't do. He hasn't had a job in 8 years and if he does it is normally under the table. I have sole custody. What would I have to do to get his right striped away so my current husband can adopt my son?
  • I have been living in the residence of my 8 year old daughters father's home for the past 2.5 years. During our child custody proceeding I voluntarily decided to pay 700 for child support. When I moved back into the residence we verbally came to an agreement that instead of having the child support reduced, that would be my portion of the rent. I have decided to file motion for joint custody of my child and the father is threatening to evict me. Since there was no lease agreement drawn up an only a verbal agreement in regards to the child support paid as rent can I be evicted? Can I appeal?
