My son lives in Texas and was arrested in AZ Monday 10/26. A bondsman is on the way with $10,000 to post bail. He is required to go to court on Tuesday, 11/3. My question is, will he have the opportunity to request a public defender on Tuesday, or is he required to have his own attorney that day.

I am currently caring for a 14 month old who isn't blood related at all. He has lived with me for over 9 months now and his mom left him at a friend's cuz she had been involed in an incident where cops were coming for her and she ran. She currently hS a warrent and is still on the run but has only asked about her son a handful of times and has not seen him since she left him that day in his stroller behind the house alone. I had a drop in my pay, and now, after my Child Support Payments, my take home pay is less than 900 dollars a month. Isn't there a limit on how much money they can take for my child support if it puts me below a reasonable standard of living? I can't pay my basic living expenses, and I don't know what to do.

My boyfriend got arrested a few days ago in Phoenix for a supposed probation violation when he wasn't even on probation in the first place. The city of Scottsdale put a hold on him for an unpaid warrant from years ago for underage drinking and driving under the influence. The Phoenix jail said if I paid a bond of $50 dollars the charge of probation violation would be taken care of and then the city of Scottsdale would have 72 hours to pick him up or he'd be released. When I sent his mother to pay the $50 dollar bond they told her there was no $50 dollar bond and that the bond was $2,550 but that is what he owes the city of Scottsdale and they still haven't picked him up. Now they are telling him he is going to court AGAIN for the Phoenix charge and then after that they'll transfer him to Scottsdale to wait to go to court for those charges. I don't have a job or $2,550 dollars or anything worth nearly that much. I'm afraid he's going to end up being in jail PAST MY SCHEDULED C-SECTION. I'm due in 37 days. Any advice? Please help,.

What if your landlord is making you stay 60 days over the end of the lease because they fail to have you come in to fill out the vacate form but was informed face to face and by email of your hardship to continue residency? You did however give the a 30 day notice!

My ex-wife took out a protection order against my 17 year old daughter's boyfriend back in March 2011. My daughter did not wish for this but could not stop her mother. Now my daughter is 18 years old and wants to be removed from the protection order. Can she do this in a simple manner? Or does she have to hire a lawyer and go to court?
