If my landlord tells me to vacate in writing, can he charge me for future months rent?

Can my landlord shut off the water to my apartment for maintenance without giving me any notice? Also, is it acceptable that this is happening a couple times a week for a couple of months now?

I receives a 7 day notice to pay my lot rent. I will pay it within the 7 days. However, I received a notice on a bright red paper taped to my door the past 2 days saying my account is deliquent and due immediately. Is it legal for them to do that after giving a 7 day notice in which the 7 days have not expired yet?

I co-signed for my son on his lease in May of 2016. The lease expired without a new lease being written, do he is now month-to-month. My parents are on social security income only and we are evaluating whether to put my Dad in a nursing home. He would most likely be eligible for ALTCS. My parents own their home and it is the only asset left to support my mother. I heard that a nursing home can take half the house value if the house is sold within 3 years of my father entering a facility. Can the home be put into a trust for my mother or sold to a family member before my father enters a nursing home to avoid this?
