QUESTIONS

  • How can I get Immediate Temporary Guardianship of a minor when CPS from the reservation is involved? I am helping CPS, and I'm the next closest family member to the minor but I would like to get them with me right away.
  • The house is owned by us, but we are paying rent on a lot. My landlord gave us a notice saying we need to repaint our house or he will do it himself and charge us for it, is that legal?
  • I have submitted notice on 7/28/17 that we would be non-renewing our lease and it would end, as stated in our lease, on 9/12/17. This provided excess of 30 days notice as required. They did not respond until today, 8/7/17. When we moved in, our rent for Sept '16 (9/13 - 9/30) was prorated. In our notice, I stated we would be paying the pro-rated amount of our rent due on 9/1 for the 12 days we will be occupying the apartment. The management let us know that our lease will end on 9/12, but we are responsible for the entire month of Sept. rent. I am unsure. I have communicated with them by e-mail because I wanted to document it.

  • I recently entered in to a lease with myself, my long time girlfriend, and her friend. We used my credit to qualify because neither of them has credit. The friend and I put most of the money down for the deposits and all utilities are in my name. Less than a month after we made the move, my girlfriend terminated our relationship. The two of them expect me to go on living there with them until the end of the lease. I am not ok with that. Is there is any way I can force them to find someone to sign in place of me on the lease and refund my deposit money so I can move out? They refuse to go

We both are not working, but he has a girlfriend during our marriage and she is working.  My question is he told me he doesn't need to pay me his social security or any spousal support due to he doesn't work. Also since he bought the house before our marriage which we are living now. In my marriage, this house all the repair, utility, property tax are from our joint account. Now he told me I have no right to this house. It is true what he told me.

Landlord said no and to move by the end of the month. One day my mom was asleep and someone came to the house trying to give me service papers for her. I didn't accept them on her behalf, and though she requested redelivery, it never came. Now we've been given writ of restitution, 8 hours to vacate, and 2 weeks to return for our belongings. Did we legally get proper notice to vacate, or can we fight for more time to move?
