We received info about renewing our lease, at a property where we have lived for almost 1 year. When we moved in, we noticed the irrigation system needed repairing, but the property mgmt. company said the landlord would not repair it, and to use an above ground sprinkler, which we did. One of the conditions on the option to renew states: "The tenant shall maintain the landscape irrigation system, including the automatic timer, in good working condition and make any needed repairs at their sole expense." Isn't this forcing us to repair the irrigation system was never worked right? Ideas?

We had a vehicle repossessed recently and there is an outstanding balance. What are the laws on garnishment? If we try to work with them and they won't accept what we can afford; do they have to accept any payment that we can afford to send them or do they have the right to garnish our paychecks? Thank you!

In July I went to SALA to see about filing bankruptcy. I am behind on everything due to unemployment and medical bills for my son. The lawyer I saw said not to at this point because I make too little to garnish, and sent me home with some pamphlets. Now my HOA has sued and won and is putting a lein on my house.I will never be able to make the payment they are asking for. My house is free and clear. Can the HOA still take my home and leave my kids and I homeless? Or are they bound by the homestead law? Thank you.

We have been evicted, the constable showed up yesterday at 9am with a locksmith to change locks, I thought we were given 24 hours to remove our belongings before they changed the locks. They left my dogs in the backyard and I was not even home. I went back to check on dogs, and constable was hiding with a tape recorder telling me I can't be there. Even to check on my dogs they left in the backyard?
