QUESTIONS

  • Purchased 2 timeshares in late 90's, which worked well for family at the time and both are paid off in full and current with fees. Life changes, health changes, it no longer works. Have researched to find possible resolution to cancel/terminate contract and have found nothing but SCAMS! Granted, it wasn't the brightest idea to purchase but let's claim it a "lesson learned". I now am trying to educate myself on the law and it's been pretty difficult finding answers and people I can trust or those who do "timeshares". Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  • Our former estate lawyer failed to pay for 'records storage' (among which were our wills and trust) and now that we need them because we need to update our trust, the company won't release them to us. How can we get the company to release our papers? We are willing to pay an access fee.
  • My 16 year old lives with her older sister can her sister file for child support from their father?
  • My husband and I own a home and have rented out a room to a man under a month to month lease. After 8 months we have decided that this is no longer what we want and have served him his 30 day notice to vacate. During this period he has moved his girlfriend in who never leaves our home even when he is at work and stays the night every night for the past 2 weeks. We clearly have it stated in the lease that the tenant shall not have overnight guests for more than 2 nights in a one week period. Can I call the cops and have her escorted off our property?
  • I am being accused of a crime I didn't commit I gave my statement to police. They stated they didn't believe I did the crime. Now two detectives want me to go to police station for same matter. I want to find legal representation to come with me for free or really cheap. I need to know my rights. Some police like to twist your words and to railroad people.
  • I was evicted from my home that I own. Not the land. Was evicted because they said I had a unauthorized roommate and when I asked her to leave she called the police on me and said I pushed her. Both where lies. I haven't even been convicted of the crime. Now they say I can't sell my home unless I pay for lot fees that I owe them after the eviction. They refuse to take my money but then say I still have to pay lot fees. Can I sell my home and not pay these fees. She is telling buyers she can refuse to let them move in if I don't pay for the months I was not even living there.
  • I recently moved out of a rental home 10/31, my understanding is the landlord has 14 days to either return your security deposit of supply a document showing the deductions we did not receive anything until 10/31 and it came in the form of a email not a letter, they said they had mailed it but we did not receive it and I have email showing it was clearly if it was mailed at all it was sent well after the 14 days. I am trying to understand the tenant law is it correct because they didn't comply with the 14 days I can get all deposit of the back ?
