QUESTIONS

  • is a judge bound by law to give at least the minimum sentence in a dangerous crime such as aggravated assult
  • My husband's divorce was finalized in AZ. The 1998 divorce Parenting Plan had a clause saying "Both parties agree to designate the child as their sold beneficiary on all life insurance policies and as the sole beneficiary of their respective estates. In the event either party remarries, the remarried party agrees to maintain the child as a beneficiary of at least 50% of their life insurance policy and estate." He just passed and his now 24 old, married, not living at home, not disabled, daughter is informally contesting his will. I know he believed this was not longer valid, I need to confirm.
  • Is there an ordinance that governs the use of residential lights that might disturb neighbors?
  • My landlord added a line in my lease that he can charge me for maintenance calls. I believed this to be for damage to the property that was our fault. After moving in we noticed a huge leek under the sink that was flooding onto the floor He charged us $75 for reporting the problem to him Then there was no hot water in the upstairs bathroom. Again he charged me $75. Is this legal? Isn’t it the landlords responsibility to maintain good plumbing? Do I really have to pay for him to repair someone else’s house?
  • My employer makes us waitresses pay three dollars per day in cash to him for a portion of the carpet cleaning he pays for. Is that legal?
  • What are the obligations of the obligee if she has an existing college degree and all children are in school all day? Is there any requirement that she get a job? She is not in an education or training program.

  • I got granted temporary sole legal decision making of my daughter but during this case I got into a car accident with my other daughter, I was not the driver or passenger and had no illegal part in this accident. Now my daughters father is telling me he has temporary sole custody and I cannot see her at all. He has domestic violence and was told that sole custody was not an option in our case for him. He got a lawyer and we made a settlement so it would be easier for me because the accident ruined everything with my life and I signed it but she told us that we needed to get it notarized.
  • Where can I find a court approved parenting class?
