Is a landlord still allowed to charge you full amount of rent if needing to leave the home for more than 1/2 month to fix mold found in walls? I’ve heard that they can however they are responsible for providing you a place to live in while the repairs are being made is that true? Or can a tenant use some of the rent money to provide housing while property is being fixed if landlord refuses to pay for housing. Please help!!

My fiance and I went to Dallas over Easter weekend to get his mother Mary age 76 from the nursing home she was in. She has severe Dementia and her husband agreed to let us take her in. He no longer wants to make any decision on her. Phillip is her only child. We need to get power of Attorney on her. Was told we needed to get a Durable Power of Attorney and would cost us 6k to do this. Is their a cheaper way? How? Thank you

My 36 year old daughter died recently in a car crash. I have had to make all funeral arrangements, so sent my ex-husband the bill for him to pay HALF. He is bulking at paying it. We are both next of kin, do I have to pay the whole $7500 myself, or do I have any recourse to make him own up to his responsibilities to his deceased daughter?
