QUESTIONS

  • I married a 16-Year Old female (I was 23) last year legally with proper parental consent. I was curious to know what my guardianship/consent rights are when it comes to my spouse being served legal paperwork or court orders by anyone, including myself. She was not emmancipated before our marriage, and I've had to legally be there to sign on her behalf for reasons such as school signup and notarizing items, so I know that I have some consent.
  • The state of arizona is trying to force me to repay my unemployment insurance. They state I wasn't eligible because I was married, and I have never been married ever. I missed my hearing because I never received a letter and now they want to garnish my wages because of this. What can I do and do I need to hire an attorney?
  • My husband wants custody of his three boys 12,10,8.He has joint legal custody with his ex-wife,butshe has primaryphysical custody but oldest wants to be with dad.She is abusive to the children and CPS are involved they said that they can't do anything about custody. My husband took one boy to sheriff after an incident but even though there was was a case opened and an ivestigation, when the report was sent to the district attourney's office they didn't continue to persue charges. She left a bruise on the boys face but since nothing was done about it what can I do if we can't afford an attourney?
  • I am the single mother of a severly multiply disabled child. Before moving to Phoenix last year I lost conservatorship of my son's estate. It is very difficult to get things paid for through the court-appointed fiduiary and I don't plan on moving back to detroit. What steps do I need to take to regain the conservatorship?
  • If my landlord is not willing to fix my A/c and keeps giving me different excuses why it is not fixed yet, what can I do? I also have children in the home.
  • Three roommates and I rent a home. Owner lives out of the country and when in town he enters without warning. Last time he stayed 3 months and pressured me into moving out of the master bedroom so he could use it. I pay my rent and it was a huge problem moving all my furniture and belongings downstairs to a tiny bedroom. He uses our wireless internet and pays nothing toward utilities. I live in constant fear he can return and disrupt our lives again. Can an owner enter with no warning and live in home. Can he force me to vacate master room again. He implied I would be given notice if I didn't.
  • My friend has a son and the mother currently has sole custody of him. She currently resides in a two bedroom apt with her boyfriend whereas my friend is renting a three bedroom house. His son has his own room and the mother has the son sharing a room with two children 10, 8 that belong to her boyfriend. Is there some sort of law that makes it not okay for my friend's son to share a room with two older children that aren't blood related?
  • I would like to know the law regarding children visiting family members outside the state. i understand that a parent can't take a child out of state without the others permission, but can children go visit family members without the other parent standing in the way/ My ex prevented my children from visiting HIS family over the winter vacation, because he would not give consent and told everyone that they would be violating a court order if they went. is that true or can the children leave the state if they are not with a parent/
  • I have a person who lives on my property without lease. We started to have a relationship. It has now involved the police and domestic violence. The police will not arrest this person and I have called them several times after physical confritations they say his word against mine no witnesses. I want him gone evicted or something. I can't seem to stop the police from telling him that he has tenant rights. He has caused multiple damages to my house and my property outside. He has taken my keys and locked me out of my house etc. What do I do?
  • The mobile home park I live in is corporate owned. February, 2018, the park got a new manager. The manager sent out a general letter stating that, starting 2/12/18 lot inspections will be conducted and then every two weeks after. Is management required by law to send a letter to each individual resident, specifying the date in which a uniformed employee will be on the rented space for inspection? Is management allowed to just send a general letter? In the past, they have come onto the property without any prior notice, have taken pictures, then sent a warning for rule violations.
