  • I'm dealing with an illegal lockout, I reside in a nycha housing with my 83 yr old father and I have 4 people living in my house that's not on the lease. They locked my out from my residence and been taking my dads money, me and my dad are the only 2 that are on the lease.. A friend of mine told me I needed to go to housing court and I did that on 3/6/2015 the judge ruled in my favor, but when one of the occupants that are living in my apartment went and filed a partition against me of an order if protection stating I threatened my father and I can't be in the household.
  • What do I do my nieces live in an apt with there kids ages 6,4,3 they have gone several times to the office they are living without ac nothing is being done they made a list about a month ago of all that was wrong in the apt had the office sign an date it an still nothing it has been out for over four month please help
  • I know my building managers,are retaliating against me.i have been heare for 4 years,this is the first time manager told me that I don't have to sign my lease,I ask to sign my lease,she said no ,no need to cause I have singed the ttp rent calculation for the year 2017,is this legal,please help ,I don't know what to do,I don't think this is legal.i have done nothing wrong/elegal.thanks inavance for your advice.
  • I live in a apartment under my moms name and she is getting help. From a government program to pay her rent. On the lease she agreed if anything we're to happen to her like if she dies i have x amount of days to move out. Well yesterday the manager said i will have 5 days After her death to move out. She is now on hospice and can go any day. I have no where to go. Can i still stay here legally for 3 months like any other eveiction??

  • I LIVE IN AN APARTMENT SAME UNIT FOR THREE YEARS. ALWAYS I PAY MY RENT ON TIME CAUSE NO TROUBLE TO STAFF OR OTHER RESIDENTS, HARDLY ANY MAINTENANCE REQUIRED IN MY UNIT BECAUSE I RESPECT OTHERS’ PROPERTY. SO, BECAUSE HUD HAS CHOSEN TO TRY AND GET A BUNCH OF PROPERTIES REFINANCED AND SWITCH TO A CONFUSING TAX CREDIT - OR PROJECT-BASED SYSTEM, I AM NOW BEING TOLD THAT I WOULD NOW NEED TO ‘earn’ 3X my current income = 3X $851.00 a month. I am VLI, formerly homeless briefly, compliant with my treatment every day since 2013 etc. I want to be grandfathered in terminable for cause only again.
  • me and my family are on mesa section 8 i recently got a misdemeanor charge for shoplifting and am very worried that we can get kicked out for this can we is there anything i can do
