QUESTIONS

Hi, I have a few questions. I have a landlord that recently told me the rent was going up by 200 dollars with about a 2 week notice via text message. Is that legal? Also, I had told her I was having an issue with foul odors coming from the hall restroom and requested her send a plumber or her handyman. This problem has been brought up to her previously as well and no action was taken on her part. She actually got upset with me at the request. She then by text again said she should have raised my rent to 1250 if she knew I was going to "complain". We also are having ac problems . Please help

I purchased a new 2017 mobile home 4 months ago and it was placed on a mobile park lot. We moved in May 2017 as three weeks ago we have discovered the lot has termite. Termites eating palm trees near our new home and it building a nest along the back fence where my neighbor has a old wooden shed. We reported it to the land property owner, they sent out an pest control company who claimed there was no signs of termites but we have picture of the termite damage. We are afraid that termite may get to our house if not already. What can we do? Should there have been a termite inspection? Thx

My sister recently moved to AZ and left her children at my house & didn't tell me she was moving. She left me with no guardianship, power of attorney or ANYTHING that will give me authority to take these kids to get medical attention god forbid something happens. They've been living with me for 10 months. How can I apply for legal custody/guardianship? 4 kids and no help from the parents. I have 4 of my own. What do I do?

After a 24 hour eviction can you receive your rent or deposit back?

I was just given a 5 day eviction notice saying, I didn't pay my rent. The notice statement included bed bug extermination, into my rent. I am also being charged a late fee and taxes added onto both extermination and my rent. I paid my rent on the 3rd, on time. Is it legal for them to evict me, by adding the bed bug extermination to my rent? It was in dispute, as was handled properly by myself. Continued bed bug infestation in building & complex. A few residents in my building also had them much worse, when I filed complaint

I am 21 years old, pregnant and have a 8 month old baby. I pay rent, but have no job and i am receiving food stamps monthly with cash assistance for 3 months. My 3 month period ends this July. I want to apply for monthly cash assistance so my question is : if my baby's father gives me $60 a week would I still need to put him under child support in order to receive cash assistance? Thank you for reading

I applied for veteran's court here in Anoka County, MN. I was sentenced at traditional court with 120 days forthwith and then a staggered sentence totalling 365 days. As part of my sentence I am now required to complete veteran's treatment after my release from incarceration. When I applied for veteran's court I was under the impression that it was in lieu of incarceration. Also I was not offered a stay of adjudication, only a stay of imposition. There seems to be no incentive for vet's court for me other than I have to do it or get a probation violation. Is that legal?

We have had plumbing issues at our new apartment and have had maintenance in and out of the place however the toilet continues to overflow and the apartment manager has done nothing, they haven't even sent a plumber out yet and this has been happening for like 3 weeks now, do we have the right to hold our rent or put it on escrow or how would we be able to proceed? We have since had to use our clothing to stop the flooding from spreading any further in the apartment but it has flooded our hallway ,kitchen, and living room.
