Question: if a person has had no contact with their spouse in 6 years are they considered legally seperated? What are seperation laws in Arizona?
Answer: A legal separation is a court order (which can be an agreed order) describing the conditions under which two married people will live separately. For laws on legal separations please see Title 25 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. A.R.S. 25-313 explains the requirements for a decree of legal separation. The Family Court section of the Superior Court in each county has information and forms relating to separation and divorce. The court locator can be found here.
