Question: I bought a car cash which my boyfriend put on his name, what rights do I have to the car legally, altough, I paid s it
Answer: A bill of Sale with a name or showing who the provided the funding by bank account can show ownership, but that would be an issue for the courts to decided if ownership became an issue in the future. Title could become an issue if a person bought a car and then their friend put it in their name a court might have decided if it was a gift. Other issues of maintenance and insurance and the person paying as well as the named owner could become an issue for courts to decided. Car that is shared in ownership would need be shown to be shared on the title as well. For further information please consult a lawyer.
