Question: I have a 5 year old son that was born out of wedlock I am the paternal father which has already been established. My question is can I prevents his mother from taking him to another county/city overnight for multiple nights?
Answer: If you have a court order in place it may set forth grounds that may prevent your child’s mother from taking him out of state for multiple nights. Generally, if there is no court order in place then the child’s mother may take him out of the state. If you do not have a court order you may want to consider consulting with an attorney and obtaining one from the court.
