questions & answers
Question: How do I file an amendment to my response for custody and child support, I would like to add that i want to discuss arrearages of child support and 1/2 med exp owed by father.
Answer:
If you do not want to represent yourself, you may wish to contact an attorney to assist you with the procedural aspects of filing an amendment. In certain circumstances you can file an amendment freely. In others, you may be required to get leave of the court in order to file an amendment. Generally, Rule 34 of the Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure discuss Amended and Supplemental Pleadings. You can access the Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure through the Arizona Supreme Court's website. You may want to review this rule as well as others to see which rules apply. You may also want to contact your local superior court to find out which rules apply to your situation. Some of the courts have self-service centers that can provide you with additional information.
