Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: How do I go about getting a copy of my modified parenting plan? Am I required to view the minute entries and request a court transcript?
Answer: When a parenting plan is modified, typically four copies are made. One is the original and is given to the court clerk. A second is given to the judge reviewing the modification. A third is given to the person modifying the order, and the fourth is given to the other party (typically the other parent.) If a copy of the parenting plan is lost or was never received, one can be requested from the clerk court for a small fee.
