Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: I have full custody of my 11 year old daughter. She wants to live with her grandmother and I am going to let her. I do not want to lose custody, I do not want her address changed, I do not want to pay child support. How do I go about this?
Answer: You may be able to give the grandmother temporary guardianship of your daughter. Go to: http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/SuperiorCourt/Self-ServiceCenter/Forms/JuvenileCases/index.asp for the forms and information on guardianship. This will allow the grandmother to register your daughter in school, give her the information necessary for taking her to the doctor, etc. You may want to contact an attorney to see what else can be done.
