Question: My boyfriend and I have been together 6 years aand have a 3 year old child. My boyfriend and his ex have bee in a custody batter over his 11 year old son for 5 years. His ex just move dout of state and my boufriend now is the primary parent. We would like to move in to the same house and remain unmarried. Will this impact his costody arrangement with his 11 year old? Specifically, is this legal in AZ yo live together?
Answer: There is nothing illegal about living together even though you are not married. This should not impact your boyfriend's custody arrangement unless you have issues that would cause the mother to have concerns about the child living with you such as substance abuse or a criminal history.
