Child Support
questions & answers
Question: even with court ordered child support why are so many absent fathers not being made accountable. if they dont get a job why dont they go to jail who enforces this action the state or the legal gaudian.
Answer: The state can only take wages that a person makes they cannot require someone to get a job. The state is able to take out a warrant for a persons arrest because of back child support. In that case action is taken by the state. A legal guardian can petition the court for payment of back child support but cannot force an arrest.
