Question: where can i get free or very low help in filling out a qualified domestic relations order (qdro)
Answer:
Unfortunately, this web service is not permitted to refer inquiries to specific attorneys. However, I have included some links to legal aid and the state bar (see below) that might assist you. When you search these sites, look specifically for family law attorneys. Then, when you call them, ask them point blank if they are competent to draft a QDRO. An honest lawyer who had not done them before will admit as much, but might also be able to refer you to a specialist who does them for a living. Good luck!
The Arizona State Bar Association maintains a list of attorneys in good standing who are licensed to practice law in Arizona.
Arizona has three general services Legal Aid organizations which cover different regions of the state. Community Legal Services (800) 852-9075 covers Maricopa, Mohave, Yavapai, Yuma and LaPaz Counties. Southern Arizona Legal Aid (800) 640-9465 covers Southern Arizona. DNA People’s Legal Services (800) 789-7287 covers Northern Arizona.
