Guardianship of Minor
questions & answers
Question: My parents have agreed to give up guardian ship. Whats the fastes way to have my aunt at least have some legal control over my life. WITHOUT court
Answer: There may not be a fast way without court. If the parents have agreed to give up guardianship, paperwork must be filed giving your aunt guardianship. These forms can be found at the Self Help Service desk at Superior Court. If she lives in Maricopa County, she can go to http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/SuperiorCourt/JuvenileCourt/guardianship.asp to find out more about guardianship. She may also need to consult with an attorney.
