questions & answers

Question: My boyfriend has two kids with his ex and is paying child support.Whenever the ex feels like keeping the kids from him she will,Sometimes for a year at a time. His kids have expressed that they want to be with him. What can he do to get visitation and/or joint custody?

Answer: Your boyfriend can go to the Superior Court in your county and file for parenting time visitation. In Pima and Maricopa Counties, they have a self service center that have the forms for parenting time and visitation. You can also go to https://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/SuperiorCourt/Self-ServiceCenter/Forms/FamilyCourt/index.asp to download the forms. Any of the outlying counties in Arizona will accept the forms for parenting time and visitation. You may also want to seek the counsel of an attorney.
