Question: Is there any method for transferring a case from one jurisdiction to another with a veterans court? I had a DUI in the west mesa district court, and need any options to use the benefits and treatment options within the VA court system.
Answer: there are several veterans courts in Maricopa County. Depending on where you want it transferred to, you would need to let the judge know that you are a veteran and you would like to have the case transferred to veterans court. They will then do the paperwork to have it transferred providing they have Veterans court in the district. You can go to http://www.lawforveterans.org/veterans-courts for more information and locations of the veterans courts.
