Landlord and Tenant - Mobile Home Parks
questions & answers
Question: i own my mobile home, now the park manager wants a copy of my title. is it legal? i really don't like the idea
Answer: The Arizona Mobile Home Parks Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (A.R.S. Title 33 Chapter 11) says nothing about whether mobile home park managers may ask their tenants for proof of title. However, it does permit mobile home park landlords to enact park policies known to their tenants before they enter into their rental agreements and altered only after their tenants have received at least sixty days’ notice (A.R.S. 33-1436). As a first step, a tenant who is uncomfortable with a request from a mobile home park manager may wish to ask that person in writing to explain why the request is being made and how the request is consistent with the park’s stated policies.
