Landlord and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
questions & answers
Question: how long may I have a guest stay with me
Answer: Many questions can be answered by the Arizona Residential Landlord Tenant Act (the "Act") found here: http://www.maricopacountyattorney.org/pdfs/community/Residential-Landlord-Tenant-Act.pdf Generally how long a guest may stay with you will be governed by your lease rather than by any specific law. The Act is silent as to guests. You should check your lease to ascertain what it says about guests. Under any set of circumstances, the requirements must be reasonable. Please note that I am providing general information based on the limited information available to me. I am unable to provide specific legal advice, and this response does not create an attorney-client relationship. I wish you the best going forward.
