questions & answers
Question: I signed a lease for a 650 sf area to open up a small business in Feb 2017 was supposed to be in April it is now June and still not it. Can I cancel lease and get deposit back?
Answer: On your description, it certainly appears that the landlord has breached the lease by failing to provide you with possession of the property by the agreed-upon date. However, without knowing all the details of your contract, it impossible to provide you with specific advice. You may wish to contact an attorney to discuss the situation and have that person (help you) draw up a formal letter to send to the landlord.
