Question: My daughter's apartment got on firer by the other apartment works done in the same building. Therefore she has moving around from places to places for at least 6 times and still paying the same rent. The landlord cant give her a definite day for her to move back and keep avoiding to talk to her with this issue. It has being more then a month now. What can she do?? Please advise!!

Answer: Your daughter’s best course of action will depend on a number of things, including whether she has a current rental agreement and when it expires, and whether she wishes to stay in that building or move. Regardless, tenants in such situations are always advised to correspond with their landlords in writing, so that they have proof of what the tenant has asked for and of what the landlord has promised.
