Landlord and Tenant - Mobile Home Parks
questions & answers
Question: Is there a law that protects the renter of a mobile home space from eviction from eviction if the renter is medically incapable of paying rent?
Answer: Although there are various laws requiring landlords to accommodate tenants with medical conditions, unfortunately they do not protect tenants from eviction for nonpayment of rent. A tenant whose medical condition makes paying rent their rent on time and in full either difficult or impossible is advised to try to make a late payment arrangement in writing with their landlord and/or contact local charities for utility payment assistance or other help or advice.
