Landlord and Tenant - Mobile Home Parks

questions & answers

Question: I've lived at my mobile home park fornover 10 years. I noticed my bill started getting higher and higher from patying 350 to getting charged 1000. I noticed that the landlord was charging some of the neighbors water meter to my bill. I've gone multiple times to their office and the landlord is never there. The secretary tells me she can't do anything and that I have to speak to the landlord. I've called the landlord multiple times and left messages and no answer or response from them. The bill says they will keep charging me if I don't pay the bill and evict me. What steps can I take?

Answer: A legal advocate may be able to assist you. There are links to free and low-cost legal services on this website (at http://www.azlawhelp.org/accessToJustice). In the meantime, tenants are always advised to maintain careful and detailed records of all the bills they receive from the landlord, of all the payments they make to the landlord, and of all the communications they have with the landlord and/or the landlord’s on-site agent(s).
