Answer: AZLawHelp Question 22067 The operator of a storage facility has a lien on personal property, within the leased property from the day, the rent is unpaid and due, late fees, labor, other charges, and for expenses reasonably incurred in selling it. A.R.S. 33-1703. If the occupant is in default for more than thirty days, the operator may foreclose the lien by selling the property stored at a public sale, for cash. A.R.S. 33-1704. Any person that violates of any provision of this article may sue in civil court. In addition to damages, the court may impose a civil penalty no more than five hundred dollars and may award attorney's fees and court costs. A.R.S. 33-1706.
