Food Stamps, Cash Assistance
questions & answers
Question: how many times a year can a person renew their ebt food stamp card?
Answer:
Arizona’s Department of Economic Security (DES) determines whether a person or family is eligible to receive nutrition assistance (also known as food stamps), how much they will receive, and how often renewals are due based on many factors, including the size of the family and the family income. DES states, “Renewal time frames vary, usually renewals are set every six months, but some are as long as two years from the initial application date.” More information about nutrition assistance is available at the Arizona Department of Economic Security website. Food stamp balance and renewal information can be checked by looking here.
Additional information about food stamps and cash assistance is available in an article found here.
