Question: If you have qualified for food stamps and then return to work can you still use the remaining balance on your EBT card? Or is the account closed?
Answer: Returning to work will not always disqualify you from recieving the benefits. When your income levels change you are required to report the change to DES, the following are the different ways you can report the change. · Calling your local DES office · Calling (602) 542-9935 if you live in Maricopa County · Completing the FAA Change Report form (FA-412) and mailing, faxing, or bringing it to your local DES office If your application is sent to AHCCCS, you can report changes by: · Calling (602) 417-5010, then press 1, or call toll free (800) 528-0142 then press 1 · Completing the reporting changes form (DE-146) and mailing, faxing, or bringing it to your Eligibility Specialist If your application is sent to KidsCare, you can report changes by calling (602) 417-5437 toll free at (877) 764-5437. Once you have reported the change they will be able to tell you how your benefits may change with your new income level.
