Question: my husband had a stroke Friday night.He will be in hospital few more days then sent to a facility for physical therapy.He managed all the finances.Is there a way to hold off creditors?I am scared.

Answer: This does not raise apparent legal questions. However, as a practical/business matter, most companies will make arrangements to extend a payment deadlines temporarily, based on a sincere request by phone to their individual billing departments
