QUESTIONS

  • My husband will still be in prison when our child is born, do I need to have him sign the birth certificate from prison or can I just list him as the father as we are married?
  • We have submitted a notice to move out at the end of next month and already have signed a lease for a new house. The landlord wanta to put the house on the market beginning next month. My question is, with this Covid 19 crisis I don't feel comfortable with people coming in and out of my house meanwhile I am still living here, especially since I am a nurse and have to go to work and be around elderly people. Is there any safety measures in place for me? Whether it be future tenants wearing a mask before entering or the landlord having to wait till we move out to show the house?
  • Owner of property i rent claims that half of my yard full of storm caused fallen palm fronds is just debris, not their problem, my responsibility. Since they have fallen..our home has been consumed with scorpions, my daughter even got stung by one couple days ago. My question is who is responsible for removal of the fronds and now the costs it will be for pest control?? Can i call services for each and demand it taken off my rent bill??

  • I live in senior 62 Sec. 42 tax credit property. I have heard the landlord is money oriented and anti-social towards people. I was a real estate agent and specialized in apartment building sales. I have been threatened with immediate eviction for bogus lies, that I had nothing to do with. I looked up the company on az courts. there is nothing since an unlawful detainer in snowflake in 2009. they are in several cities around the state, but based in Idaho. I have heard that they just throw people out of the property. they must have accomplices. one of the owners sits on the town council
  • I applied at an apartment complex and they told me I needed to pay a holding fee so they can hold the apartment for me. All I did qawas sign the application and told them i would bring tye holding fee another day so they gave me another form stating all of the fees I was to pay at move in. (You sign that AFTER you pay the holding fee). So a couple days later I went in and cancelled my application and now they're sending me to collection for that holding fee. I asked to be shown the policy on that and all they showed me was a paper saying the amount and next to it "non-refundable".
  • I rent from my boss. I want to know if she can with hold my check for payment. She has the house address on the lease which I have not signed as the company address.
  • I had a brief relationship with my neighbors son, beginning May 2016-June 2016, and I let him remain in my apartment until recent. We had a verbal agreement that we would split the 3 main bills, rent, electric and cable/internet, fifty fifty. I gave him a receipt for the months of June 2016-January 2017, he got the original and I have the carbon copy in an actual receipt book. I told my ex that he has until the end of February to find another place to live because he is no longer able to pay his share of the bills because they cut his SSI. Can I kick him out without going to court?

  • can a complex predate a notice to terminate lease just for not wanting to renew lease? I think this tactic is used because I claim they have unsafe property and gave them 30 day notice to comply with health and safety.
