QUESTIONS

  • My daughters biological father has not seen her in over 18 months and has not reached out at all. He lives in New Jersey. My husband has been in her life and a full time dad for over 2 years. How would we go about terminating parental rights if the biological father is not on the birth certificate and has not been involved with her at all? My husband would love to adopt her, but I don’t know how to go about it.
  • Does DES count SSI payments for a disabled child
  • What do I need to do to change one of my daughters last name. My domestic partner is not the biological father but he has been there with my daughter and i since about 3 months into my pregnancy. My daughter currently has my last name but both my partner and i want to change her last name to his. Her biological father isnt in the birth certificate nor in her life. And she is 1. What are the steps to change her last name?
  • Can I get specifics on Foreclosures and how long before I go into foreclosure do have to make a payment?
  • I don't know if you can help us or maybe direct us to someone who can. KayKay Properties took over as managers of our apartment building. This is not an assisted living facility, but regular low income senior apartments. I am one of the original tenant and the other original tenants and we have gone through several managers. But this company has come in and is trying to dictate to us, change rules that make so sense and threaten with evictions. We have been told that none of our grandchildren under the age of 18 can spend the night with us anymore, if they do, we will be evicted. If someone is on medical marijuana they can't smoke it in their apartment, they have to leave the building and smoke in the parking lot. If they smoke in the building they will be evicted. We can't go to check out mail in our robes, if we do we will be evicted. They will spray for roaches, but we have to count the number of dead ones, and if they have to spray again we have to pay for it. If we don't pay for the exterminator, we will be evicted. If any of us are ill and need family or friends to help us, we have to let management know who they are, where they work and how much they make, if not...you guessed it, we will be evicted. Please, we need someone who can help this is like living in a communist community. Rose Turman 602 599 1033

  • I am a landlord and have a question about my legal rights to be notified by the power company (SSVEC) before they shut off service because the Tennant did not pay their electric bill. The signed rental contract gives permission to the power company to notify me of a pending shut off. They have this agreement on file. It gets below freezing here and this puts our units at risk of having frozen or bursting water lines. Also the smoke detectors are disabled. I never want the utilities turned off on the apartments because of this. They just shut off the power for 10 days before I'm aware.
