QUESTIONS

  • I was my mother's caregiver since 2011. Mother passed in 2014, Mother left a beneficiary deed to me and brother. Brother has claimed the home and wants to evict me and my daughter.
  • Our landlord has decided to upgrade/renovate all apartments and says we have to move into another apartment either temporarily or permanently (our choice). This will cause inconvenience, time, energy, and money since some of us will need help moving furniture. Must they pay moving expenses, move our belongings for us, or compensate in any way? Can we terminate our lease (mine is up in a couple of months) because we are forced to move all of our belongings out? I'm thinking if I have to move everything out anyway, that perhaps I should just move altogether. The apartments are in good shape.... nothing wrong with them. What are my rights? How much notice do they have to give us? Btw.... I have housing assistance. Thank you
  • I've read that Az. doesn't recognize common law marriage. However, I can't find information to clarify what occurs with a partnership after a given number of years. I've been cohabitating with a lady for 7 years, and recently was told "you've been together long enough that everything you have is community property." I'm concerned about our separate investments that we each have willed to our respective children. Thanks for any information you might be able to provide.
  • I live in a place that was built in the 60s and the plumbing is still the old school piping (not plastic) but our toilet is brand new. My sister put a baby wipe down the toilet and it plugged up the piping. The plumber came out and said normally a wipe is fine to flush but because the piping is ancient you can't. So it cost $200 to fix the problem and our landlord handed us the bill. Is this right? Shouldn't they be paying for this?
  • I share a deed with right of survivorship with my adult child. She married and moved to another home. She and her new husband want to buy a new home with space for me to live and will deed my amount on current deed to a new deed with survivorship rights for my adult child. Am I able to still protect her against the Medicaid Recovery Program?
  • Me and my ex wife have shared custody of our six year old daughter for the past 5 and half years. My ex wife now wants to move from chandler to queen creek, changing my daughters school to the queen creek area. I stated this was not fair because my drive would increase to 15 extra miles per trip, adding more drive time during my visitation days. Is this a fair assumption on my part? If we go to court what should I expect from a judge's descision?
  • What can i do to help my child when her teacher swats her without my consent and leave a big mark on her leg when she was suppose to swat on the but?
  • how long do i have to wait to get my cash assistance into my ebt card
  • I have forms to add my name to my Birth Certificate from 2002, but got sick and did not complete. Can I still use the forms and how much do I need to pay? I can not get through by phone, why is that?
  • I have been advised that there may be a warrant out for my arrest in Pima Cty... how do I find out for sure without making myself available for arrest?
