QUESTIONS

  • My family and I have a lease for property. Today we received a notice taped to our door stating that there was going to be a "notice of trustee's sale" on the property. What rights do we have in this situation? Is this considered our 30 day notice to vacate? What action or responsibility does the management company have in this situation?
  • I live in a 55+ park, manager says he has a right to come in my back yard anytime he pleases. My bedroom faces backyard, I don't feel very comfortable with this. Can he legally do this without prior notification?

  • How does an inmate in county jail go about firing his court appointed public defender? The public defender hasn't been in touch with the defendant except during court appearences and defendant doesn't know what is going on except that trial starts in 19 days.
  • Is it legal for a landlord to put into our lease a statement that says "If for any reason during the duration of this lease agreement the relationship between Lessor and Lessee is soured, Landlord reserves the right to serve a 30 day written notice to vacate." Then I paid my rent for the following rent, 4 days letter they refused to accept my rent payment because it did not include the pet deposit. The started a 5 day eviction notice. Can they evict me on those grounds?
