Question: we agree on everything just want the divorce. How long will it take? We don't want to wait 60 days we just want ot sign the papers and get it done now.
Answer:
For laws on the dissolution of marriage see Title 25 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. A.R.S. 25-329 is about the waiting period. It states “The court shall not consider a submission of a motion supported by affidavit or hold a trial or hearing on an application for a decree of dissolution of marriage or legal separation until sixty days after the date of service of process or the date of acceptance of process.”
The Family Court section of the Superior Court in each county has information and forms relating to divorce. To find the superior court in each county go to the Arizona Courts Locator.
