Question: Can you get child support if you are the legal guardian not a parent? I am taking care of two children that I have guardianship of. The parents live together and are not providing any assistance.
Answer: Under Arizona law, the guardian of a child, or children, may originate proceedings to establish the maternity or paternity of a child, or children, and to compel support (A.R.S. § 25-803(A)(3)).
